Not only in Hungary, but also internationally, there are countless examples in the press of a young athlete, or even a runner-up Olympian, recklessly using social platforms, which often causes serious disruption in athlete advancement and sponsorship, or even means the end of a career. This is due in several cases to the fact that users are unaware of the power of social media, its access, and the “transience” of their content.
Neo Interactive has been invited to provide training on the practical use of social media platforms, how to prevent communication mistakes, and the presentation of positive, negative best practices. Due to the coronavirus situation, a video-based, nearly two-hour training was held in June with nearly 60 participants. We are always happy that young athletes take our advice after the training, many of them have already posted content on their community interfaces in the following days that they have mastered during the training.
We wish them every success in using both their athletic careers and social media!
